After more than two years of work, developers received final approval from Horry County Council on Tuesday to build a Hard Rock theme park at Fantasy Harbour.

I hope that it does, indeed open for the projected 2007 season. Heck, I should be living down there then, maybe I can get a job.
Who says they don't build new parks anymore...

Hmmm... if the Hard Rock Cafe formula of success is followed, they'll have average rides that are over priced.
Let's all hope that this doesn't end up as a $15 per ride SLC.

All the ride operators will have stupid nose rings, and play the music too loud. They will pay the wrong bets like in the HR Vegas, and stop the table action until the song is over.

Chuck, B&C would have to decide to sell Hurricane first. But they're likely to move the Pavilion. The company that is opening Hard Rock Park is not affiliated with B&C by any means, this would be a totally new park, and B&C has already talked about moving Pavilion out by Broadway at the Beach.
