Hard decision regarding IB and MiA

I am planning my trip to the midwest for next summer, and I find that i'm adding more parks to the trip than I have time for. So, I have to decide between Michigan's Adventure and Indiana Beach. (This isn't a versus topic) I just want to know if IB's 3 CCI's can match MiA's 1 CCI. Any thoughts?
Actually, MiA has 2 CCI's and a Dinn corp woodie.

I'd still choose IB beach, though, for its unique atmosphere and Darkrides... and CORNBALL. YeeHaw!

You'll never get any agreement over which park's woodies are better. It's my opinion that Cornball and Hurricane offer a better 1-2 punch than Wolverine and Timbers, but others will disagree. I have not ridden LoCoSuMo, so I can't comment.

However, I feel as an overall park experience Indiana Beach has so much more to offer than MiA. Quirky atmosphere, nice selection of flats, two compact classic steel coasters, a great dark ride, an excellent sit-down restaurant, a Fascination parlor, and cheap prices. That being said Indiana Beach is a park people either "get" or don't "get." Depending on what you're looking for you'll either love it or hate it.

I did IB and MiA back-to-back last year, so my opinion comes from experience. MiA is not a bad park, tho. You'll have fun no matter which you choose.

Can one truly and FAIRLY compare MiAdv and IB? I dont think so. If you like waterparks and one that is included in admission then MIA is better. IB has a much different atmosphere than most parks. If you have never been to IB or any seaside amusement park then I would recommend IB just because it is a throwback to old school americana seaside amusement parks. You likely wont get bore with IB but you might with MIA unless your an airtime whore. Then Timbers will be the ride of day. Though Cornball has some great and unexpected airtime. Timbers does airtime like no other coaster in existence that I have been on.

I would say Indina Beach. Michigan's Adventure is great but there is not as much to do there than at IB. I would definatly take LoCoSuMo, Cornball, and Hurricane over Timbers, plus IB has Tig'rr which is great. They also have some really nice flats IMO, and they seem to fit better into the park than the ones at MIA. Also as mentioned earlier, it has a really great atmosphere and the food is better.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

IB by far. They have better wood, and a whole lot better atmosphere. It's my favorite park. Cornball Express is a really cool and wild coaster along with LOCOSUMO. They have a fantastic walkthru ( Frankestein's Castle), A great shooter dark ride, and have I mentioned they have a great atmoshpere? :)

Another vote for IB....I *know* I didn't catch MiA on its best day, but IMO there's no comparison....

bill, trying to get IB added on to the SRM trip, even with 10 additional hours of driving for 1 day there...

Moosh is right when he says you won't get any agreement over the coasters, but you will see that most people who reply to you here LOVE IB. Ditto everything everyone has already said... Really, the ONLY reason I'd do MiA over IB is if I wanted a day at a waterpark...it's the only place MiA's got an edge.

Dawn, leaving for IB in about an hour

I also have to say Indiana Beach, I could spend a few days in a row there and not get bored. However I always find myself leaving Michigans Adventure before the park even closes. There is just so much more to do at IB IMO.

I have to admit, I do like Indiana Beach, but nothing can beat my Timbers. :)

Go to IB. It has more fun per square inch than any park out there.

Indiana Beach - No contest.

Timbers is cool, but one coaster does not make a good park. If I'm being 100% honest, I'd have to say the MiA is actually a very lame park. There's very little atmosphere, it isn't all that pretty, and the ride selection is just 'ok.'

chris, going to Kennywood tomorrow and Sunday. Just trying to be as cool as Dawn going to IB. ;)

You can try chris, but don't feel bad if you fall a little short. ;)

dAWN, being mean because I'm totally jealous, because I've never been to KW, have been to IB a million times.

I'm not going to comment on which is better. I like them both for differing reasons. What I would add is to look at your traveling time/distance. Both parks can be a little difficult to get to depending on your starting point. So, I would say that the other parks you're going to could play a big role in which of these 2 is easier to get to.
