Happy Veterans' Day 11-11-05

To all active and retired veterans who are members of, or check out this site, we salute you and thank you (for the freedom to argue about which coaster, which park, which chain is better)!

Word dude!

I salute all veterans today, whether or not they were sent off to war. At any time they could have been called on and could have paid the ultimate scarifice for us and our freedoms.

Thank you veterans!

I agree whole heartedly! Thank you to all the veterans that have served and especially the ones serving right now overseas. May the Lord protect you and bring you home safely and swiftly.

Rob, you're like the first person I've ever heard that recognizes that no matter if we're at war or not that people who serve in the armed forces are putting up the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you. As a former Airman in the great USAF, I proudly served 4 years and at any time I would have given up my life for my country. It was a great four years and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I got to go so many different places and meet so many people and make friends that I never thought imaginable. I saw things that would baffle anyones mind and had the coolest job of refueling B-2 Stealth Bombers at Whiteman AFB, MO. But enough of the boring "war stories"! ;)

Veterans day feels weird to me. I actually get to lay claim to the title of veteran since the gulf war never officially ended. A lot of people who only served four years are technically vets. May all our current and former armed forces members be honored not just today but every day.

Hey, it's my daughter Tiana's birthday too.

Happy Vet day, and thanks Tiana for getting me out of a parade 13 years ago. ;)

Ohh yeah, and thanks to you too, Tiana's Dad (CAC joke), and to all the other Buzzers who are serving or have served. My bro was in Iraq for over a year--it was really stressful for the whole family.I have an even greater respect for our troops now. Thanks again, guys and gals. *** Edited 11/12/2005 3:06:24 AM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Matt, my brother served in Iraq for a year so I know exactly what your family went through. It is VERY stressful.

I remember ALL of our troops everyday, especially the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Oh, and happy birthday Tiana! :-)

I agree, we should remember them everyday.

I've had the honor of working with several vietnam vets, and everytime i think about it, i still get the creeps.
Our vets need our support. Whether or not anyone of us believe that they did what they did was for us, is moot. They believed, at least in the beginning, and that's all that matters.
