Halloween Celebrations?

I was wondering what everyones opinions are on the park with the best Halloween celebration and haunted houses? I've been to Fright Fest at SFOG and it was pretty cool with all the people in costume around the park. I'm going to IOA for Halloween because when I got my season pass the guy said Halloween was the best time to come and the haunted houses would be great.
I think Dorney actually does a great job at decorating for Halloween. They set up scenes everywhere on roof tops, in the water, queues, everywhere! BGW has a great one too. You need to hang out bridge by Escape From Poppei for several minutes after dark. I hope the do it this year.
__As for Haunted Houses none can compare to Knoebels Haunted Mansion.
__The best celebration is The Phoenix Phall Phunfest at Knoebels. Most parks discourage people from dressing up to go to the park. Knoebels encourages it! It's just loads of fun riding the coasters with several ghouls and witches. :)Go to www.knoebels.com to see all the deatils of PPP it loads of phun.

You simply have not lived until you've been to a Universal Halloween Horror Night! I personally have been every year since the beginning and have seldom been disappointed. This year they are finally bringing back something they only did the first year (although they say this is the first year) and that's putting creatures to jump out at you on some of the rides! The best times to go for small crowds are during the weekdays just before Halloween. But if you want the whole experience, just deal with the crowds on a weekend, the "scare-acters" really let loose then.

How is Howl-o-Scream at BGT I've been wanting to go.

DEFINITELY Wyandot Lake.....done by fellow art colleagues!!! You KNOW it is frightening. I also just visited CP which have outdone themselves. The attention to detail in every little segment of the park is incredible.

To answer Mr. Peanut, I'm pretty sure this is the first year that BGT will have a maze (or mazes) to go through. In the past, I don't think it was very big or popular. Could be better this year if they are in fact doing it more "Universal" style.

Is there a Hallo-fest where park atendees get to dress into costumes ? BGW will not let you in the park if you arrive dressed ala trick-or-treat style . I know certain costumes would be unappropriate for some of the rides , but it would be nice to participate more ......
Personally running around in a mask or makeup and a costume has never really apealed to me, but that's just me. I do dig well done Haunted Houses though. Valleyfair's Howloweekends aren't too bad.

Cedar Point does a great job. SF Great Adv. is good, but there has not been anything original, except that extra pay Alice Cooper thing, which was lame. Lakemont Park in Altoona is a nice bit, and only a few bucks to get in. And, both woodies are running. You can stay at the Super 8 next door for about $59. I am heading to Hershey next on the 20th for their gig.
Almost forgot. I did Sf America last fall. The park opened every day before Halloween. Park was crowed after 730 pm, but empty from 4-730. That is when to go. BGW is also empty on weekends. All bus groups of seniors. Not much riders there.
I hear PKI's FearFest is awesome. You get 6 haunted attractions and 5 rides which are; Son of Beast (with its spot lights turned off), Drop Zone, Face/Off, Top Gun, and King Cobra. The park said that they are some of the scariest rides on the planet. I personally don't consider Top Gun and the King Cobra scary rides. PKI should have the Beast (without any of its lights on also), Vortex, and OL:FOF as their scariest rides along with SOB, Face/Off, and Drop Zone. Now that would be cool. What do you think?
