Halloween - Who's The Best?

Which amusement park has the best Halloween celebration? I went to Cedar Point yesterday, and had a blast at HalloWeekends. I just got to thinking, who has the best celebration and the scary haunted houses?
Kennywood - Especially for the price.
i think all six flags parks have suxxy halloween theming. just the indapented parks is the one's with great theaming.

PKI will be the best this season...
According to the AT Golden Tickets, the only enthusiast poll regarding Halloween attractions, the list is as follows:

1. Knott's
2. Universal Studios
3. Kennywood
4. Knoebel's
5. Cedar Point

A somewhat-professional poll has more grounding than individual responses.

The Haunt at Geauga Lake is only in it's second season, but it is a really good time. Honestly, it's one of the better Halloween events I've been too.

The thick fog that engulfs the western area makes for an awsome time on rides, coasters are literally engulfed in fog.

On dominator you climb the lift above the fog, then dive down into it, it's freakin' awsome. Double loop, villian and thunderhawk are all other coasters with the foggy night rides.

But be sure to check the weather for windy days. it's not as good on windy days because the fog never has a chance to settle.

The Haunt at Geauga Lake, honestly, check it out, you won't be disappointed. It's a good ol' time. *** Edited 9/25/2005 6:18:32 PM UTC by lakecrystal***

Knotts.
Knott's hands down.

Go once, and you'll understand.

I only visited 3 parks during their halloween fests (SFSTL, PKI, and CP). SFSTL had some nice docorations throughout the park but CP had them beat in that dept for sure. As far as Haunted houses go, CP has a couple but PKI has that category won hands down IMO. I can't remember names of any of the "haunts" but the one @ PKI where there was a big maze made up of chain-link fence sections was almost too much for somebody like me. (And I consider myself a semi-old hand at these things having worked/designed rooms for many when I was in the military and we were doing our yearly haunted house fundraiser.)

Knott's. Like Blaster said. You'll understand once you go. Words fail to describe it.

Certain victory.

I haven't been to knotts, but universals is better than any other park that I have been to imho. I have been to Cedar Point, geuga Lake, Kennywood, BGT, and PKI.
I dont know if anyone seen the thing of islands of adventure on the travel channel last week, but that looks like they do a lot to that park. That looks like fun. Although i have never been. As for parks i have been to, i thought Gl was pretty nice, and cedar points i remember wasnt all that great to me, do they still use disaster transport as a haunted house, cause that one sucked.

Speaking indapentedly, I just like the idea of being able to ride into late October, so the idea of haunted stuff doesn't appeal all that much to me. I know, I'm going to hell...

But I also can't see Barney Fife and Ralph Furley being all that scary. :)

^Ditto, going to BGW in a couple of weekends, while I will proably check out their haunted offerings, multiple (last of the season) rides on BBW, LNM, Alpie and AC will take presidence.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

Its all about Knott's Scary Farm. Going strong into its 33rd year. It was the first Halloween event at a theme park, and I think its still the best.

12 "mazes" and 5 scare zones. It doesn't get any better than that. :)

Check out GL's Haunt with the Fog. Lakecrystal is right about the rides being completely engulfed in fog. The fog helps put moisture on the rides, and they run a lot better too.. Check out the Villan at night with the fog. You think it was crazy without the fog, wait til you ride with the fog. The funny part is it runs better with the fog.

I Thaught SFGAm goes pretty much all out and did a great job.

The only reason I can believe Cedar Point made that list is the number of fanpeople that have probably been there. It was amusing but awful in that Battlefield Earth or Showgirls way.

Kennywood's was the absolute best I've been to and I can't wait to go back this year, PKI runs a solid event with numerous scary, fun, and gruesome attractions and this year sounds even better, Knoebel's is a treat, and Geauga Lake's was a good start last year in their first season. I really want to do more Halloween events soon.

I can't imagine any park doing a better job than Universal Orlando given their budget, but we're doing a trip out to Knott's Scary Farm next week so maybe that will give Uni a run for its money.
