Halloweekends CP lineup

kpjb's avatar

I've never been to CP for their Halloween thing before, planning on going next week.

The website still says "the event entertainment and attraction lineup will be revealed soon." It seems that since they've been open for a couple weeks that they'd know that by now, but anywho...

Should I expect all of the rides to be open as usual, or is it a limited attraction lineup? Any ideas what Thursday entails? I heard at one point that it was just going to be haunts and not rides, but that doesn't seem right.\

I know how busy it gets so my thought was to go Thursday and Friday in the day when it's not as busy then just dip if it gets too bad at night. Probably go back Saturday for early entry and get a couple laps in then go.

On Thursdays and Fridays the park does not open until 6:00.

Also, there is this:

Starting next week Fridays go to an 11am open for the first time. They say the full ride lineup will be available, but many of us know how Halloweekend staffing can be.

Thursday nights are scheduled to have the limited ride lineup that Fridays have when they are evening only operation.

I booked at Breakers for a Thursday, Friday. They were giving away a Fastlane for Thursday night but I was under the impression that only the Haunts were open Thursday. That link says otherwise so I don’t know what to expect now.

Even if that is the case, a night with Fright Lane to do the haunt mazes I never do when I go to Halloweekends because the lines are always so long followed by a full Friday of rides would absolutely be an easy sell to me.

Thanks.

Odd that they didn't update the main link off of the front page of their site when they added that info.

As Brett mentioned, Fridays are 11am now, so hoping to get some rides in before the after school and work crowds roll in.

Hi

I wonder if this Friday will be more crowded than expected. Our school district makes this a 4 day weekend. I would imagine there are other school districts that do the same.

Isn't Columbus Day Saturday typically the busiest day of the season (outside of the years where the weather has been a total wash out, and 2020 because 2020?)

NEOEA Day is Friday. I think there are a lot of districts that have this Friday off. We are looking to travel this weekend and called to board dog. Normally no issue getting dog into this place. Told us they were booked solid this weekend for about a month. Called other boarding places with similar results.

Yes. Even pre Blame-It-On-The-Gold-Pass.

The weekend after Columbus day is usually pretty manageable. It will be interesting to see how this October all shakes out with the days/hours, and the fact that Sunday is now a full-on HAUNT day, and not just a family-friendly day. First year for that as well.

Today is the first 10pm Sunday close with a full Haunt lineup, and at 4pm the wait times look quite manageable if queuetimes.com is accurate. 45 minutes for Steel Vengeance and Maverick, everything else looks to be in the 15-30 range. Not bad for what looks to be a beautiful fall day.

Until about 7:30/8:00. Then rain all evening.

Yup. I was actually looking forward to a night of just haunts. I’m glad they’re spreading things out this year though. Hopefully it reduces the Saturday crush.

Also, do they do early entry for season passes during October, and if so do they do it on the 6pm opening days?

Hi

They do, but I am entirely unsure if they do it on those 6:00 days. I haven't been to a 6:00 pm opening in about a decade. The other days, though, operate like any other day at CP.

Yep. Early entry at 5pm.
