Haase Circular Switchback?

I have been doing a little bit of research into some old amusement rides and came across something called the "Haase Circular Switchback." All I know is that there is a 100 year old example in storage.

Anybody know what this is/does?

And I feel a model of the boomerang is forthcoming (flying scooter almost done).

Is the circular switchbacjk that inredibly strange, tilted revolving wooden structure that once was at Coney Island in its heayday?

I used to see it in that very good Coney feature film from a few years ago. It looks like an opened, upside down umbrelly spinning on its centre. Am I making any sense?

Yup, IHC - I think it is one their better models (especially when you ditch the base).

Turbo: The flying scooter is a very popular ride among enthusiasts. It's an old ride originally made my Bisch-Rocco and recently recreated by Larson. See here, here and way over here.
