Gyro Stand Up and 2 Coasters for SFMM

taken from a California Coaster News forum - "On this saturday, six flags magic mountain will have incredible discussion for what new rides they will recieve next year. When i had asked john hall, one of the ceo's for magic mountain, he told me that his input in the conversation would be an Inamin Gyro Sandup Drop, a Formula 1 model that was designed but never built, unlike the other types at other parks, this will feature stand up only without the lean forward on the drop. Second he was going to mention how the park needs to get flashback in real time. He wants to add new trains with better views and harnesses. He said that they are going to open back up the buildings at the bottom with a Motion Simulator. The next two coasters will be built in at the end of the summer of 2002, which will be a wild mouse and a Vertical drop, all of these will be mentioned next saturday. If interesed in the tape of it, you can purchase it by calling magic mounain and asking the for the Computations. None of this may happen but just to let you know what might possibly happen!"-----------------

when i pasted it, all the 't' 's were missing

Why won't my signature change Jeff?
I'm bored. What should I do?
If this is true, It would be so cool! We need another drop ride in Cali, and SFMM is the perfect place. I hope with the Flashback trains, the OTSR's will be removed.
Anything about Revolution getting fixed?
And what building at the bottom?
i can read it.. you guys suck haha jk

I think you guys should stop wasting time posting useless stuff about correcting peoples grammar and spelling and just stay in topic. If you cant read it just fill in the T's with your mind.. sheesh have fun with your lives.

Back to topic: Dam i can't wait for saturday.. SFMM been having too much money these days. haha

If any of you guys actually believe this garbage, I've got some swamp land in Florida I'd like to sell you.
Sure Six Flags as a whole is only spending $140 million dollars total in capital expedentures, so what if an Intamin stand-up gyro drop, new flashback trains, a building retrofited for a motion simulator, a motion simulator, a wild mouse, and a vertical drop coaster would be a hefty chunk of that 140 million?  Nevermind the fact SFMM will have a vertical drop coaster whenever X decides to open.  Nevermind the fact that no corporation/amusment park in their right mind would sell a tape of a meeting to discuss what they are getting next year, let alone video tape it to begin with.
Bottom Line: It's VERY wishful thinking to think any of this is true...If your crazy enough to believe it, more power to you, everyone is entitled to dream....

I bet 1 TRILLION DOLLARS this is all false and will never happen. SF just built 3 new coasters there so i really doubt they would waste more money espcially since they are having too many problems with the ones that were just built, so i would hope that Six Flags tries to stay away from some rediculis new prototype coasters that are unproven. Maybe coaster sompanies should take an example of what S&S does. S&S builds it at its back yard and see if the idea will actually work 1st before selling it to parks.

I may be from IL, but i sure can't get enough of the FORCE. MF!!!

Um... The S&S Thrust airs STILL don't work,  and S&S built one in their backyard first.

You get no guarantees in the amusement park business, so your reasoning for not building prototypes is a thin one. *Somebody* has to build them, or you'd still be riding Leap The Dips...  ;)

They still work better than X. At least XLC can get passengers on it.
And I just realized something. New, more open Flashback trains? Weren't they designed so closed in because the track and supports are extremely close? Do they want to both make men sterile (with the lack-of-a-lean gyro-drop) and have everyone lose their hands? Sounds like that could make a lot of law suits.

What good is that when it breaks down every 15 minutes? And the one in Japan does not work, period. At least X has tested. X does work, it has cycled over 1,000 times and should be open within a month.

The one in Japan has tested and has had human riders.  Stan said so himself.  I believe that SFMM will not get a vertical coaster or a gyro stand up with out the tilt.  It just doesn't seem logical.

SCĀ²...Launching To A Web Browser Near You In 2001...
Hypersonic is running very well now with no where near the number of break-downs it had before. Dodonpa is ready to operate but the park WANTS to open it later and they are still working on some theming and the tunnels.
Semantics. Prototyopes take time to get running in top condition, bottom line. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be built.
