Gwazi Dueling No-More

The Kennywood Racer has only one side.  :-)
People are talking about the asinine restraint-checking policies for this ride, and having never been to BGT, I wonder just exactly what these policies are.  What, is every lapbar checked twice and stapled or something?  How is the policy for checking restraints different than any other woodie with PTC trains?  I would think that the lack of seatbelts would make this process quicker, since ride ops don't have to fasten the belts in empty seats.  Or are slow ride ops to blame?

It's a simple equation: CCI + CP = #1 Wooden Coaster!
Well they'll have to change all the merch that claims 100 mph fly-bys and all that. I imagine that's one of the main draws of the ride...so poo on that now.

So it all got started by people complaining about long wait times? Why can't we start a movement now to start complaining about the non-dueling? All we'd have to do is match the amount of complaints and our motion is viable, right? What's stopping us? Who do we write to? I'm serious. I don't know when I'll get the chance to be in Florida next but I'm on that petition if someone goes ahead and makes one.

Or are we past all that and ultimately could care less?

Bummer.

As a season pass-holder for 3-4 years, I wanted to mail them this thread...Sadly, their website only has "contact us" with snail-mail and phone options...NOT web-friendly.

Another double track coaster experience is history because of poor park operations.  Put this one in the book with American Eagle, Paramount racing coasters, and Colussus.

Yes, it is poor park operations that cause the slow loading times.  It is even poorer park operations when they have a coaster capable of producing the dueling or racing thrill to the patrons, and choose to run only one side or let each side go out of sync or allow lift hills and brake runs to become uneven.

Once again, hats off to Hershey for Lightning Racer.  The design and operations of this coaster will probably always produce racing and dueling.  They don't seem to neglect their rides, not even as they age.

GREAT. So now the only coaster that I missed when I was in Florida last year has had its very essence destroyed, just because of some inpatient people! HELLO, there's usually a long wait for all the other coasters at BGT, but you don't see them ruining their purpose to speed up the line, do you?
