I have to say that the Middle East is becoming more touristy every year. Have you seen the video from that golf tournament in Dubai? Amazing what money can do to desert.
That Prince is actually the guy who saved Euro Disney from bankrupcy back in the 90's and he owns something like 10% of the Euro Disney shares. He already has ties to Disney and so, this could be promising.*** This post was edited by Absimilliard 2/6/2007 11:16:17 AM ***

Can they pull off cultural differences though? I would think that the nuances of Chinese culture would be easy compared to the primarily Muslim Middle East culture.

Money+desert=Disneyland Anaheim. ;)

I actually was over there for a couple months a year ago. I only flew in and out of Bahrain, but from the people I talked to they said Bahrain was like the Vegas of the Middle East.

You are right Jeff about the money thing. These guys are loaded! The malls over there are unbelievable. If they want to build something it won't be the cost that stops them.

Dont forget foriegn money finally let the Imagineers get Burbank and Wallstreet off thier back and give us DisneySea.
I wouldn't mind trying the indoor skiing place in Dubai. Amazing.
