Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has reverse launches and rotating cars

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Disney World's first reverse-launch roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is set to debut in 2022 at Epcot. The attraction – don't dare call it a ride – will consist of two parts, the latter being one of the world's longest enclosed roller coasters. The building that houses the coaster is "so large it can fit four Spaceship Earths."

RCDB has 5,577.4 ft in length listed.

Could be epic!

[Edit: I inverted some numbers so everything about it being a top 10 length coaster is wrong [Recursive edit: RCDB and Wikipedia have different numbers. RCDB seems to think this will be 9th-ish longest steel while Wikipedia thinks it misses the top 10.]]

At that length it's just shy of making the top 10 longest steel coaster list by about 23 feet.

It would be longer than all wooden coasters except The Beast and The Voyage.

How's that for some perspective?

Is there a POV animation so I can tell you why it sucks?

Hi

You don't need a POV to know that it's going to suck because of the capacity. And it hates poor people.

Too short and too many trims.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

That’s what she said....

I'm still trying to wrap my head around "so large it can fit four Spaceship Earths." That's huge.

He would agree.
