G's on MF

How many are there? On my 3 rides this year i seemed to go light headed and black out for about 5 seconds before you enter the first tunnel
No more than any other coaster (in fact less then many, including Wildcat) However, the Gs on the first part of the rider are sustained for a few seconds. It can really get to you sometimes! (In a very good way)

I love the ride, my favorite ride ever, i was just wondering why i black out on it, oh well its fine, but has anyone eles had this same problem at this spot?

Happens to me on FaceOff at PKI sometimes, and about 1 in every 10 rides it happens to me on the first helix on SOB

You're not the only one! I got tunnel vision the last time I rode. It's all in how sustained those initial Gs are. You know what other ride does that to me consistantly? Anaconda at PKD, the positive Gs don't let up on the first part.

A lot of people seem to have problems with possitive Gs. Headaches and black outs. The only ride to make me feel like I was at the exploding point was Top Gun at PGA but it was really cool. I rode it 2 more times and it never happened again :( I don't remeber MF being that extreme after the first drop though. I thought it was justy fast and cool, a real tear jerker!

~I rode my first coaster June 2001 and since then I have ridden 43 different coasters!

The only coaster I've ever blacked out on was The Corkscrew at Cp during the loop. Right after that little bunny hop i was in so much pain I didn't brace myself for the loop ahead. That ride sucks so much, the only reason why they'll keep it is cause of the corkscrews over the midway which looks pretty kool.

Anyway, I've heard that MF pulls around 5 G's for an instant. Goliath definitely has the most sustained G's of any coaster I've ever been on.

A rollercoaster? What's that?

Last summer when i visited CP for the first time, i can honestly say that at teh bottom of the Millenium Force hill, i was totally unprepared, and as it swooped up into that gigantic overbanked turn, i thought i was going to black out, i literally had tunnel vision and saw stars and planets....it was the first coaster to have ever done that to me ! WELL, until 3 days later, when i was at SFWoA, and we rode the X Flight at the back.....all ive gotta say is, if u have never ridden a flying dutchman in the back car, give it a try. The G's around the vertical loops are monsterous, and that was the second time in a week that a coaster made me black out :)

Many people like those heavy Gs. For anyone who would like to experience around 5 Gs I recomend Delarium. It pulls extreme negatives and positives. Everyone should ride it.

I get tunnle vision on BKF all the time. Usually at the bottom of the first drop, cobra roll, and the helix finale. It doesnt happen very often, but it happens ;)

MF's first overbanked turn seems A LOT more than 3.5 Gs

Shockwave (SFGAm) has gotten me every ride this season. I've also had blackouts on Iron Wolf and Batman quite frequently.

good to know i'm not the only one...i got my first rides on MF this week and i got a little scared when i started to black out...it was cool...

In a documentary about MF, broadcasted on german television, Werner Stengel himself stated that on the bottom of the first drop, riders experience the highest "korperbelastung" at 4.5G.

Praise the Lord for giving us mr Stengel!

Do you really think that it is the G's causing these blackouts? Maybe it is the awesome adrenaline rush. I don't think that the G's on coasters are strong enough or sustained long enough to cause blackouts. But, I'm no doctor, just a thought.

The worst day at Cedar Point is better than the best day at work.

It's because the G's at the bottom of MF's first drop are sustained for 4 or 5 seconds, MUCH, MUCH longer than most coasters. I didn't black out though. I didn't even even gray out. Does that meen I have higher G-Force tolerance?

Why do they report power outages on TV?

Amen Ozzy. I've taken 2 trips to SFGAm and everytime I ride Shockwave, I black-out between the 2&3rd loop, which in its ways sucks because of that AWFUL Jerk right into the brakes there after. But geeze oh man is it nice! Same with BTR there, in that sort-of 1/2 helix after the second loop I usually black out... as for Iron wolf.... damn is that loop fast for a stand up! Whew! =o)
