Greezed Lightinin' question

Is it my imagination or does that car crrreeaaap thru the loop?? Especially going backwards? My kids have rode it and the oldest refuses to ride it again. She felt like she was falling out. (she's kinda silly tho) the youngest and skinniest loved it. I won't ride it because I don't like going backwards in a loop. Vampire made me sick everytime. So back to the question...has it always been that slow?

I was there to get my season pass for six flags in may and got in 4 rides in 30 min. Backwards is definitely slower than going forwards but in my brave heroic acts i hand my hands up going forward and backward. And let me to you, you feel like your going to fall out if your not holding on to something.

Greezed Lightnin' that is now at SFKK did not appear that way to me when I rode it a few weeks ago. It had strong g's going both directions! Typical Schwartzkopf.

Last time I rode, it didn't even make it through the loop. :) If you sit in the front row, your knees will end up on the pads in front of you when you go through the loop backwards.

By the way, does anybody know if GL is running somewhat reliably now?

I rode Greezed Lightnin' on June 1st, and the airtime was wonderful. Yes indeed, it just crept through that loop on the return trip! :)

Hell yes, I was there the day before you, Vater, and you would just fall out in the vertical loop on the way back to the station. Deifnitely made the ride more interesting!

Top Thrill Dragster -- The most intense, unbelievable, and spectacular fifteen seconds on any coaster, anywhere, ever.

Greezed Lightnin' is sooooo much more fun in the front because you go from intense Gs(first time through loop) to Negative gs(spike) to hangtime(backwards through loop.I absolutely adore Hangtime. For real fun , ride it with your hands up and eyes closed , it's sweetness. I also love how the airgates are misaligned with the coaster....

I could ride that coaster all day and then some.

Ramming your face into the bottom of a swimming pool is not very fun.

It sure was great to get on the old girl this past Thursday.

The ride itself doesnt launch as quickly as it did when it was Tidal Wave. The train is lucky to make it 2/3 the way up the front spike and as mentioned above, this results in an extremely slow return trip in the loop.

Based on what I saw on my visit Thursday, this ride isnt very reliable. Mechanics were constantly in the station, the ride broke down frequently, and they were performing multiple tests on it.

If you havent been it before and the idea of creeping through the loop makes you nervous, just sit in the back of the train.
