Green Bay's Zippin' Pippin shows no signs of slowing down

Lines of people waiting to ride the Zippin Pippin roller coaster at Bay Beach Amusement Park on Sunday may have confirmed what Green Bay officials say they already know — the ride, now in its second year, is a hit.

But it's a government project so it must be bad.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Were it not for the Pippin I doubt I'd ever visit Green Bay.

I'm going there in a few weeks time...

Lines of people? They should sell Fast Lane!

You know it's a winner when you get the Irish guy to go credit whoring in Green Bay. :)

That's nothing, I ran into a family from Romania while waiting in line to ride the New Mexico Rattler at Cliffs this past Saturday!

I *never* would have gone to Green Bay either, Richard (and I'm a big fan of NFL football, LOL). WELL worth the trip...and I didn't have to go when the icy breeze blows in off the lake!

To be fair, a coaster doesn't have to be good for the Irish CreHo to go to the end of this earth. In this case, I'm trying to finish the wood coasters of the world. As of today, I have seven ridable ones left; six of which are on my list for this year ;)

For reference, the ones I have left are the two in Indonesia, the two new ones in China, two in the United States (Quassy/Green Bay), and the one in Brazil. As much as I'd like to finish the set, amputation would be the only way for an adult to fit in the Auto BergBahn...
