Great First Weekend at SFoG!!!!!!!

SFoG's opening weekend was great. It wasn't too busy on either day which was good cuz we only had one-train operation. Cyclone was running furiously in the morning. Scorcher was cool too in the mornin. I was working at Cyclone on Saturday and Scorcher on Sunday. Who came on opening weekend?

Shouldn't this be in the trip reports forum?
He works there Batwing.

I'm not an enthusiast, I just play one on message boards.

I was there, and in fact, I came and rode your ride both days after getting my incharge test done. Trimless Cyclone is very furious.

Acrophobia-"So who up there is scared(everybody screams)? I want everyone who is scared to hold their hands out..."DROP

I was there on Saturday in one of Cyclone's first few trains in the back row. I agree Cyclone was running furiously. Chris, are you working GASM again this year? I did not see you Saturday at GASM or SUF (what an bad crew!), and that station wait at GASM with one train got kind of boring without your corny (but funny!) commentary!

Keep the trims off for 29 more days! Please!?!?!

A-Rod, two questions: 1) Will you be working on Good Friday, April 18th? Do you think they will have more than one train in operation that day on their larger coasters? Is it usually busy on that weekend? And 2) Is Deja-Vu working? Thanks.

There's nothing like a woodie...

Sorry about that,I totally forgot about X Marks The Spot's recent employment @ SFOG & it just sounded so much like an average TR I assumed it would've been better suited to that forum.

So what ride are you assigned to? I remember in the other thread that you applied for a section#1 location, from what I hear it looks like you got a good position operating one of SFOG's woodies. :)

Yeah I actually get to choose between Acrophobia, Cyclone, Scorcher, Railroad, and Deer Park everyday. I just pick which ride I feel like doing that day. I'll probably stay at Cyclone since thats the ride I'm trying to be an In-Charge at.

Woody I'm not sure if Deja'Vu will be working by then or not. I've heard the trains are still dismantled in the parking lot. I'm also not sure about the trim brakes on Cyclone either. I hope they keep them off all year. I won't be there on April 18 cuz I got school. But I will be there for Spring Break on both Saturdays.

Does anybody know how crowded it gets for the Cheer Off this Saturday? And if they'll have 2-train operation?

Alex

I was there on Sunday...it was a great weekend.
Haha, I'm offended by my commentary being called corny. J/k. I'm glad to see some of you get my cheesy act at making fun of what they want us to say. The reasons you didnt see me are as follows: Saturday I was at S:UF till 11am then I went and took my 2 hour incharge test for GASM which we have to retake every year to be re-certified at a ride. 30 essay questions take some time especially when many of them involve monotonous parts. After I got done, I got sent home early and I walked around and rode rides. I worked at GASM Sunday and got off early at 1 pm. Starting the 31st of this month (I have to take a test on the 30th) I will more than likely be the Asst. Foreman at GASM, so you all will hear plenty more of me .

And X Marks the Spot, we will probably start off with 1 train operation and just have the opportunity to add one as the lines get worse. Lines are usually moderate for Cheer Off, but the worst part is the thousands of cheerleaders making up cheers about the rides in line. If Im operating, I'm going to say, "For YOUR safety and the SANITY of the operator, please do not cheer in line. Thank you.".

Good one Chris. I know hearing cheers all day would drive me fricin crazy homes. Especially the stupid cheerleaders. I hope they have 2-train operation for Cyclone. I like to stay busy. See ya at the flags and hopefully I'll be a Cyclone in-charge by May.

Cheerleaders. Could anything possibly be worse than endless monotonous pointless cheers. Oh well, at least I've already been innoculated against them since I was at Disney during the national cheer championship. Trust me, that was bad.....especially when they began their chants at parade/show time.

And Trogdor smote the Kerrek, and all was laid to Burnination.

Yeah, cheerleaders can be a real pain, but hey, they paid their money, and thats all that counts in the end. Free speech means they can cheer all they want, until it hinders my ability to operate the ride. Then I get to see cheerleaders cry as security escorts them away. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh sorry, I got carried away. J/k,

CtCF, hoping no Buzzers are cheerleaders...

Imagine all the stupid questions we'll be asked on Saturday. Do they actually where their cheer outfits or do they have regulay clothes on. I'll also never go out with a cheerleader again.

...just hoping someone ELSE notices that comment...it's my position that most ops feel that way, and that running multiple trains not only makes for happier customers, but happier employees AND even a safer park....I could be wrong, but I'll wager that in the long run I'm right...single- training TENDS to lead to employees becoming *distracted*...don't believe me, read the TRs, "it's in there".

gator, *still* not a betting man...
