Great Escape Snow Day?

I heard that the Great Escape was supposed to be open last weekend.

I went by the park at about 9 in the morning and it was deserted. I assumed it wouldn't open until about noon.

However, there was a dusting of snow on the ground that morning.

Does anyone know if the park was open that day? Do parks open when there is only a little bit of snow on the ground? I was just curiouse. I had time to post this topic this morning because I had a SNOW DAY myself! :-)

Comet and Steamin Demon were the only coasters open? I would think it would be kind of cool to be able to ride alpine bobsleds in the snow and cold!!

Yeah, right... you quirt a water bottle into the track, and it's closed down for 2 days while they wait for it to dry up...

Somehow, that ride seems more closed down than opened up... hmmmm... maybe they should enclose that ride, and call it something like... Alpine Disaster, and then take the shed off of Nightmare, and then people will really call it a nightmare!!

Thats kind of funny how Alpine Bobsled is themed to snow when it cant operate in really any weather other than sunny. I am looking forward to the press release of the new ride. Does anyone know if it passed the board? (NYSuperman, Calvin, Dawg)
