Great Escape Question.

Has Steamin Demon been down the whole season and how long has Nightmare At Krackaxle Kanyon been operating? I heard it was down for the season but was surprised when it was running a couple days ago.

Steamin Demon wasn't closed this year. I think it got a new paint job. I'm glad if Nightmare is open because I am going there in September.

I was just at the park earlier this week(8/25-8/27). Steamin' Demon was running two of the three days I was there. Nightmare at Crackaxle Canyon was closed all three days I was there and it was said in another thread that it will be down all season.

Nightmare was running Monday when I was there however Steamin Demon was closed.

Steamin' Demon was open both times I was there this summer, the last time being a few weeks ago.

Has anything chnaged with Nighmare@KK to explain the shut down, such as 2 cars at a time now instead of one?

When I was at The Great Escape 3 weeks ago on a Saturday, the Bobsled coaster was closed, and instead... the Nightmare coaster was running. I think it was running a total of 3 cars. It was still slow-as-hell and the line still crawled. The wait was still an hour +, and I wonder to this point "why in the hell did I wait that long to ride that ride??"

As for Steamin Deamon... it was running the whole time, and again... a waste of time if only for the fact that for a small, but simple coaster... it takes literally 10 minutes to load & unload that coaster because everything is done manually with the seating!

Consider yourself lucky if both of those coasters are closed, becuase they are honestly a waste of time with their capacity issues. I'd much rather ride the Swan boat ride instead ;)

...or at least Comet...

Steamin Deamon has hardly been closed. The only real time its been closed this season was the first week when it was still recieving its paint job.
