I was watching TV today when I saw the old commercial for The Great Escape (Little Kid gets up early) when I saw they changed it to Six Flags Pass instead of Great Escape. I put that with their website saying "Six Flags Great Escape" and their allowance to put new rides in so I think it may turn to Six Flags......I am almost positive that they will get something at least good next year.
Does anyone know what's going on with Skycoaster? Rainbow?
Well, to add a little more into that...
Take a look at my signature ;). It says it all what may happen!
The future looks very bright for The Great Escape within the next few years. In just a week or so, they open up the Sky Coaster, and they have released the press-release on it on their web site.
To clear up a little clarification: No matter what park you choose on the official Six Flags web site, it will state "Six Flags" by it: ie: Wyandot Lake is Six Flags Wyandot Lake.
I feel with the Sky Coaster opening up this season, next season will be much brighter with the advent of a few great rides that were missing (but not forgotten) at the park.
I see that the Sky Lab & Rainbow may re-open next season. I think that they may get a B&M inverted to be put near the Jungleland area, possibly a new wooden twister in the Ghost Town area, a drop-tower is also possible, as well as a number of flat rides.
That's for the rides... general improvements will be the bridge over Rt9, a new front entrance (still keeping in touch with the Storytown Theme), as well as maybe a new sit-down restaurant.
This is my guess... but I sure hope the park goes with the name I am guessing because it may be more easily recognizable and gather more popularity!!

The Great Escape... Soon to become Six Flags Adirondack Escape!!!
Another general improvement would be to pave the parking lots. And when it becomes an "official, full blown" S.F. park, it won't be free parking anymore. They gotta pay for the paving, right?
Gee, I would rather continue to park on dirt/grass/broken asphalt for free.
Well I really hope that six flags has big plans for this park in the near future. Seeing as at the beginning of next year I get a big change of scenery and get to move to the Saratoga area of New York(30 miles from GE). As well as GE I also hope that La Ronde Gets its major makeover in the next few years they are talking about.
If these parks Become Six Flags Parks I will live right in the middle of an area of Six Flags Parks. One to call Home(GE), One to the East(SFNE), Two to the South(SFGAd and SFA), One to the West(SFDL), and One to the North(La Ronde). All of these parks would be a closer drive to me than SFOG is to me now.
