Plus they have like no room to expand and it doesn't help that the people that live around the park wont let them expand at all even to improve important things like paved lots, better pollution control etc.

The Great Escape- Home of the Reject Coasters!
First things first... The Great Escape has a LOT of land for expansion. They have the area beyond the picnic pavillions, the have the area past where Jungle Land is, and they also have the area behind Ghost Town which is currently being cleared for something (AND, GE does own that).
Now, Superman will NOT replace the Steamin' Deamon, or at least a coaster named as such. Why? Because the themed areas in The Great Escape will stay just as they are. Steamin' Deamon is in the Ghost Town themed area. It doesn't make any sense to put a Superman named coaster right there. I can see a coaster named that towards the back of the park.
Nobody ever said what kind of coaster this "Superman" would be... but if there was a coaster to replace Steamin Deamon (which, frankly... it looks nice from the road, but it's a nothing ride!!) they could do what SFWoA did and take out some of that parking lot since it was so small and just put something in there... something nice and worth re-riding.
I can tell you that the Bobsleds will also not be replaced or taken out. That is kind of an original ride and there aren't too many bobsleds around anymore. It adds to the "family" atmosphere of the park like most of their other rides.
However, I DO see the bridge as CalivinJ23 has mentioned, as well as a few other proposals that are non-ride.... but I also see a coaster going in behind Ghost Town... what kind? Most likely a wooden. I don't know why, but I just have that feeling that if they are going to add a coaster, it will be a wooden one in the Ghost Town area because of the theme. I can also picture another one, but until 2003. I see them putting back the "Rainbow" and the "Sky Lab" as well as a few other flat rides in the 2002 expansion because The Great Escape needs some new major thrill rides.
Basically, The Great Escape will be expanding year after year for the next few years. They said it themselves. They also have the land, space, & funds to do it... it all boils down to what they will get, and if they will get ruined by branding it with the Six Flags name & theme (loony tunes & super heros)
God I miss our old Corkscrew. Never did get a chance to ride it. Would give up X-Flight for a bobsled easily.
*and now I brace for the bashing*

G.Bush:We will find those who did it, smoke them out of their holes, get them running, and bring them to justice.
I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake

...however, I take this with a major grain of salt for 2 reasons.
1) Any coaster that will be 200 feet or slightly above will be located in the park closest to sea-level. It will be located in the lowest area of the park, which is towards the back.
2) I cannot see them re-theming the Ghost Town area to a superhero themed area with the rides and settings they got. What, will the cave turn to the "Bat Cave"? What about the Desperado Plunge, Nightmare coaster, Tornado ride, & Ghost Train ride? Those all have a general theme that fit very nicely into the Ghost Town... how would they handle that?
They wouldn't!! It'd be a giant waste of money that could be better used to adding additional rides/attractions and fixing up rides that actually need it (rainbow & sky lab anyone?).

Be patient, it might take a few months to find out.
