Great Day AT SFGAm

Associated parks:
None

I went on opening day, May 4th. We got there at 10:00 and my friend got his pass pic taken. That took fifteen minutes. Then we went to Raging Bull and waitedtwenty minutes. I loved it but my friend did not, I think hes crazy.

Next was Giant Drop, I can not get enough of drop rides. Five minute wait. Then American Eagle Backwards. This is such an improvement. fifteen minute wait with front row (last to leave station). They need to leave it like that, they even have little plaques saying Now Operating Red Forwards or Blue Backwards.

Then on to Iron Wolf, my second favorite coaster there after Raging Bull. ten minute wait with front row. It is so great. Then V2, forty minute wait with front row.

Then Shockwave, fifteen minute wait. I don't see how people can't like this ride. The rest of the day we rode Columbia, Trailblazer, and The Hometown Fun Machine until we saw the Imax film To FLY! It is a really good film with great views. It is all about the history of human flight.

Then we rode Whizzer, twenty-five minute wait. The funny thing is when the station gates popped open four little girls came out of one gate. Two of them couldn't find a seat so they went into my land in front of me. I was so mad! But, when the gates opened for me I went and sat down. The one little eight year old asked what the hell I was doing taking he seat, even though it was my seat. Then she started swearing and called me a little white boy. And by the way this was all after they cut the whole line and people in the station.

Then Demon, fifteen minute wait. I still like this ride. And Viper, thirty minute wait, stupid station. They really need to fix that.

Then we went of the Sky Trek Tower and Space Shuttle America.

Oh, and another thing, two times today, on Demon and Shockwave, a group of people asked if one of their friends could cut us, so they could be together. We agreed only to not risk being ganged up on and being beaten up. Both groups were about seven or eight teenage boys. I find this very rude. If they were civilized or the lest bit considerable they would have offered us or someone else to go in front of them.

Great TR. I was supposed to go today, but that got pushed over till late May.

As of late, Shockwave seems to be getting more positive reports than usual. I've always loved this ride, and am overjoyed to see more people jumping on my bandwagon. :)

R.I.P Megadeth. 20 Years of Metal will not be forgotten.

I also have been a huge fan of the ride! Last week at B96 when I rode it I was very dissappointed with its performance. I dont know what it was but it jsut wasnt as food as I remembered from previous seasons, it really didnt seem to intense. However when I rode on saturday It was deffinatly back up to standard so I was happy to see that ride was jsut a fluke.

What a bunch of rude dorks! (those guys who asked if they could cut to be with thier group.) The other part of thier group should have allowed other people in front of them instead of asking to go in front of you. What a bunch of jerks!

I went front seat/back seat/whatever seat/last-to-leave seat on AE, too. That is just plain awesome. Front row view, back row ride. They must have done some major renovations on it. In years past, blue side has always been slow and airtime-deficient. My ride was fast, smooth (for a woodie), and full of airtime, even more than Viper.

Less than 2 weeks until SFGAm opens!

Whoo-hoo!! Another Shockwave liker!! I always be sure to get a couple of rides in a row on that one because there is usually little to no line.

That Whizzer story sounds quite surprising. There are too many little kids who unfortuneately act like that these days.

Viper's station is WAY too slow and crowded. It has always been crowded from the very beginning. The slow loading seemed to have started occurring right after that kid got his hand wedged in-between the station and the train.

And one word about those line jumpers. Man, that is terrible. I get that most times when I visit the park. It's pretty annoying so I understand where you are coming from.

Otherwise, great trip report!!! It makes me look forward even more to visiting Great America this summer. I FINALLY hope I can get on DV.

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

In regards to the teenage line jumpers, whenever I'm in a group w/ my friends, if we want to stay together it's only courteous to let people behind you to cut in front of you.

I don't know why some people are so stupid and rude. I hate stupid people.
