...couldn't even fit the entire name in the thread's title...that should tell you something about the nature of this thread. The latest ACE Newsletter posed the challenge to come up with a "user-friendly" handle for the park....
...being the *creative* type (ROFL), I thought it was time to challenge the CB community for some creative names for the park. My brain has been stuck since I first saw the acronym GAAPALL, and all I can come up with is just that....GAAPALL. If you need to know how I suggest pronouncing it, just remember that it rhymes with PayPal...;).
I know *some* others may object to my name, so here's your opportunity. Remember the rules: It's gotta be short, and keep some connection to the admittedly too long of a name that the park currently has....
BTW, my Screechin' Eagle shirt says simply Americana....
GAAP@LL
:)
Or just LL.

The official name of the park, on the sign, on the T-shirts, on the patches on the employee shirts, etc., is LeSourdsville Lake.
That actually makes it pretty easy. :)

It is Lesourdsville Lake "The great american amusement park"
LL or Lesourdsville would surfice.

Not sure, but I may have been the evil doer responsible for GAAPALL......or TPFKAA (The park formerly known as Americana). Don't ask me to pronounce it! I'll probably call it Americana til the day I die. What a great name for a park.

Im not sure who exactly came up with the GAAPALL but that is how the park was anounced when it was told they were re-opening.
Americana was a good name, It did however alienate the town it's in and those who knew it as such. I am one of the few old enough to remember it as Lesourdsville Lake originally and lately I have been having trouble choosing a name when mentioning the park. Sometimes I say Americana, Sometimes Lesourdsvill. I prefer Lesourdsville Lake.

If it is officially LL or LL:TGAAP, then instead of TPFKAA, maybe it should reference it's short-lived title and be TPFKATGAAPALL! Pronounce THAT one! :)
All these letters are making me dizzy...I'm gonna go lie down for a while...
