Great Adventure Coasters- 1975?

Last night one of my friends handed me a souvenir book from Great Adventure from 1975. Inside was a park map. I located the log flume and and the Runaway Mine Train. It seems that there are 2 other coasters there as well. One seems to be in the spot around where Batman the Ride is today, the other one looks like it would be around Chiller, near Granny's Chicken. The main entrance is where the boardwalk starts today. That way the maind entrance, carousel, fountain, and Big Wheel are all on the same street. It is very interesting. I was just wondering if anyone could identify these could-be former coasters.

According to rcdb, it would be Big Fury, one of Anton's Wildcats/ http://rcdb.com/installationdetail1655.htm

Probably that old Wildcat and Alpenblitz II, I remember that they mainly had protable coasters until the Great Rotting Lumber came.
It might be too early, but Lightning Loops stood where Batman & Robin the Chiller is today.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

I'm pretty sure the one by Granny's Chicken was Big Fury. My brother worked at the park in the mid-early 70's, I'll check with him maybe he remembers.

Lightnin' Loops was early 80's I think. It's kind of funny to think about how many rides have changed over the years.

I clearly remember my first ride on the "new" Runaway Mine Train...and the "giant" flume...pretty sure I rode the WildCat. So long ago........
Man you people are old. I remember when Batman the ride was the new kid on the block and GASM's wait was well over an hour! Those were my good ole' days at Great Advdenture.

....don't be callin' me old.....and stay OUT of Willy's retirement grease (it's for the chainlift)....:)

My brother thinks it was a coaster that never opened. He said he remembers something about the cars each having their own motor on them and that the cars had a problem with running into eachother (has anyone ever heard of anything like that?!?).

Gilligan can you scan and post that map? My brother would love it check it out.

jgfama, both were open and running.

Not sure of the names (taking RCDB's word for that), but Great Adventure had a Wildcat and an Alpen Blitz back in the 70's. I remember riding both of them.
