Incindentalist, it seems like you are agreeing with me yet being critical of what I said at the same time. You seem a little confused. Sure we can call it what ever we want; theme park, zoo, family fun wildlife reatreat center, it doesn't matter. The fact of the matter, like you and I both said is that they just are not going to get a coaster. So in conclusion you knew what I was saying, so there was no point in being critical about my word choice.

CoasterMatt, I don't think that we agree on much. You were the one who brought in jetpacks for the horses being as plausible as a coaster. You were the one that said if they wanted it to be a theme park they would have added rides by now. I dissagree.

The fact that they haven't installed any rides shows nothing about future developments. They really haven't changed anything in the park since I was a little kid, but that doesn't mean that a small change here and there can't or won't happen. And as I tried to show in my earlier post, adding one or two rides isn't going to transform the park into anything more than it already is. There are zoos around the country that have amusement park rides in them. They're still zoos, but they have a little something extra for the kids. The only people that go to Indy's zoo to exclusively ride the coaster are credit whores.

In the same light, Grant's Farm "could" add a small coaster and a Carousel without taking anything away from what they currently have.

Sorry to be so critical of your words, but in my line of work such differences matter. That's just the way I look at things. I'm not one of the grammar mongors on this board, but I do have pet peeves. I did not mean to offend.

I could go to Grant's Farm after I have hockey at the Affton Ice Rink across the street. That would be awesome! BTW, I wish AB donated the land right next to the rink so Affton Ice Rink could make a new rink there.

Someone mentioned a coaster going through the arch. I've always thought that the arch itself would make a great first hill. You just need a faster lift than those little trains inside. Add transition tracks on both sides and you'd make Kingda Ka look like Kinda Short.
Hey out of curiosity and completly of subject. Who started the sixflagsstlouis.net website. I would liek to shake there hands, first SFSTL site since 2001.

Never mind looks like it might be made by SFSTL. *** Edited 12/14/2004 12:10:44 AM UTC by Bossstl***

Well, it was registered to John Gagnepane in H.R. at the park, so I would say it was someone in H.R.

Just a couple of G-Force junkies!

The arch is taller than what Kingda Ka is going to be? Hah, i never knew that untill now!
