Grand Texas development at the infrastructure stage

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

The infrastructure work for the Grand Texas amusement park project is well underway. More than two miles of water pipe is now underground. The water system and treatment is now functional. They're clearing trees and getting ready for the next phase of development.

Weren't they in the infrastructure phase a few years ago?

Sounds like Ghost Town in the Sky only one is old and one is new.

guy said they were laying pipe and preparing "to handle the eventual load".

i'll just leave that alone.

Sounds like the area is ripe for condos.

Hi, I'm commenting from 9 years in the future.

As of 2024 only Big Rivers Waterpark and Gator Bayou Adventure Park have opened so far. It sounds like the theme park itself, Grand Texas, has not started construction.

The website http://grandtx.com/ currently redirects to https://bigriverswaterpark.com/ if you want to know how that's going. They have a few flat rides listed on the waterpark's attractions page, though.

Hmmm.... a coaster credit (Hamsterwheel), Flyers, Stratosfear (the best drop tower) and a bunch of aerial courses. I might just look into that next season, as I stay in the Woodlands a lot for work.

How’s Disneyland Texas coming along??
