gradv missing flats?

whats up with none of the flats working at six flags when i was there a few weeks ago!? the parent was pretty busy because the dispachers are so slow, but ... time warp was down, cable cars, the sombraor ride by the taz twister was removed! taz twister was down, the space shuttle was closed, the parachue ride was down, the egg scrambler was down, the thing by viper was closed, viper was close, the only flats that were up were of course the upcharge attractions, the top spin, and the witches wheel(aside from kiddie land) WHAT GIVES SIX FLAGS?!?!

Oh, that's just the "staffing problem"....I've been told it's *no big deal*. What, are flat rides supposed to be included in POP.... end sarcasm

Upcharge attractions that are too overpriced to get any business are ALWAYS fully staffed it seems, but POP rides (coasters AND flats) seem to be woefully understaffed.....SFA for instance, has a dual-loading station on BatWing, but they seem to be saving the second platform from the always-costly wear and tear.....

back to the topic, they're not missing FLATS, they're missing OPS!

well time warp was taken out for the festivels so it had to be down.

This is definately no way to run a park. I have been there a few times after the big expansion into a "SUPER PARK" and I have yet to ride a lot of the "NEW" flat rides added years ago. It's their loss as well as mine, because when I plan plan Park trips, I take into consideration how "understaffed" they really are and go somewhere else.

Too bad for us both.

i think its really funny that instead of spending 10millinon on a ride they would hire employees? maby new for 2003 six flags will get employees? so im guessing thats why most rides were closed just lack of ops(allot of rides opened half the day(namly coasters and water rides) whats the deal with the ride next to taz twister being removed, the scrambler being removed, time warp being removed. honestly i used to go like 3 times a year, i dont think ill ever go back to the park the longest line was an hour to pay to get in the park! i mean it was so bad they had 2 ops running all of rolling thunder, 2 guys who barly spoke english!
When I went on a Tuesday last year most of the rides were open except Space shuttle, Parachute, Jumpin jack flash, Evolution, congo rapids, Viper, and Robin Chiller. They need more ops and need to fix the problems they are havin with some of the rides even though it's not that easy but they still can pull it off.
yea congo and evloution were closed also, i dunno what the flash is? no offence but saying its not easy dosent make much more sense, instead of spending 10mill on a new attraction every year, just hire some more employees to man the ride, as far as i know the only ride that is broken beyond repair is the parachute ride, it was hit by lightning

More stuff opens after school lets out. Most of their employees are still in high school and finish mid to late June. It is still hit or miss though. I have been there at times this year and only noticed evolution, jumpin-jack flash and the space shuttle down and I think that is for mechanical reasons. The scrambler ride is being reassembled in a new location because they needed the space for Alcatraz.

Actually, this year has been very good. Viper, Movie Town Water, Congo, Parachutes, and of course, Chiller were down constantly in years past. Hopefully they can now focus on getting Evolution running or replaced.

I want to ride Evolution sooooo bad!

I LOVED Jumpin' Jack Flash and think every park should have one:)
