GP Coaster Complaints

I noticed something on my last trip to Kings Island with my "non-enthusiast-but-love-to-ride-and-need-an-excuse-to-go" friends. Whenever I talk to people about roller coasters, they rarely have complaints. But when they do, it isn't about theme park prices, or theming, or originality, or roughness, or any of the complaints I usually hear. Instead, the GP I talk to usually complain about the length of the rides. It bothers them most when they have to wait in such a long line for a 1 minute ride. And I guess I agree with this. I'd rather ride, for example, 5 coasters that last 3 mins or more each than say 9 quickies. Guess I'm right at home on the Beast! :)
Don't you think they'd complain more if they waited 1 hour for an hour long ride? That would be a boring ride.

Yeah, Lots of people complain about say, The Giant Drop, or SFGAm's shuttle rides. "That's it?" People won't stand in line for Giant Drop because it is a "3 second ride" and they don't like V2 because "all it does is go up and down".

Good. That's less people in front of me.

But... I do have a problem with B:TR's length... :)

Could this be why the Beast is still the favorite of nearly all people near PKI?

I am noticing more GP complaining about slow-moving lines, which (kinda) makes me happy.....I don't care if a line has 1000 people and moves quickly, but single-training means POOR capacity regardless of lines.....(I think the GP may be catching on here, and that's good for us in the long run)....

Don't know why parks don't always recognize the damage done by long wait times....it hurts them more than they know....(line-cutting, vandalism, poor impressions of the park, trashing the queues, etc.,etc.)....

I just hate the comment....Why do you want to go on that? Its just a stupid wooden coaster.

Why do they report power outages on TV?

My favorite one is "I don't like wooden roller coasters because they are old and rickety." Sometimes the wood coaster they are talking about may well be the newest coaster in the park.

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

I heard that one at Hersey a little while ago "i dont wanna go on Lightning racer, its wood and its old." keep in mind this was the year 2000, the year that it opened. it even ahd signs all over the place, "Come ride our new wooden rollercoaster, LR!" on the freeway.

just keep those folks outta the line for those wooden gems....makes the wait shorter...
