Goodbye, sweet prince. Thanks for the memes. (RRR)

Universal has filed to tear down Rip Ride Rockit and replace it with another attraction. Previous filings have listed Intamin as a contractor for an unspecified new attraction at the park.

Closing RRR >>> RRR.

(I had to.)

1000 ft tall coaster coming?

In the interest of not making a separate thread, whats the deal with Pteranadon Flyers? They have been SBNO since like April, are those also on the chopping block?

Edit: RRR has until Early September 2025.

Don’t worry everyone. I got my last ride on it 2 years ago.

^ Me too, and one lap was all that was needed.

I'm torn up that I never got to ride it. Not as torn up as I would have been if I rode it though.

I rode it last month and actually enjoyed it a little bit. There's something to be said about having a great song playing behind you on a coaster. With that said, I don't blame them at all for removing it. It's a maintenance nightmare and struggles to run in colder weather.

On top of that, the capacity is terrible. If Universal wants to be a true equal to Disney, that's one area that I think they need to focus on the most. Aside from Hulk, the lines for the coasters at the two Orlando parks absolutely crawl.

Same here, PhantomTails. For all the memes and complaints about this ride I stepped off for the first time a few weeks ago and thought... that's it? That's what everyone has been crabbing about?

It's not going to crack anyone's top 25 but it was fun. Maybe a little herky jerky but I wouldn't call it rough in the least bit. That said, I'm excited to see what the new hotness will be... open by fall of 2026 maybe? One can dream right?

I never thought it was rough. Just boring.
