The second stop on my trip will be PKD. I haven't been here since 1987. So once again, I ask what's good to eat? Only this time it's at PKD. I'll be staying at the Best Western, so I can eat at Denny's if I have to.
DONT EAT @ PKD! The pizza me, GregLeg, his brother and Wild One ate on opening day was beyond terrible. I mean, any pizza that is not deep-dish is suck-tacular to begin with, but it seemed like they went out of their way to make this stuff horrible. Cardboard doesnt begin to describe it. I really dont have the adjectives that I need.
The burgers were much more expensive than I felt like paying so I cant comment on those. There is a place there that sells shrimp. It's not easy to screw that up so it might be okay. But if you want my advice, there is a Burger King across the street...USE IT.

--Who actually thinks that Denny's is a GOOD places to eat, not like those Steak n Shake abominations!
I've been to two Paramount parks and the food service at both was excellent.
I can't remember if that's the one with a Slice's a few blocks away from the park. It might have been Carowinds. But it was italian buffet for only $5!
New place too. But it was definitely outside of SOME Paramount.
Most of the time we don't eat in parks for the cost. Most of the food looks pretty good. What's up with everyone starting to sell bigass turkey legs?
I ate at Stan Makita's by Hurler in 1999 and I thought it was good. I am coming back this summer and I am excited! ;)
My home park is BGW and PKD. Eat at Bubba Gump Skrimp Shack. You know like in Forest Gump. Anywhere they have good fish skrimp chicken fries and tenders.
I think that it is Dominic's hot dog cart that has a good dog for a reasonable price. Otherwise, I haven't had good luck with the food in the park.
I agree with Limwarrior.
The Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack is the only 1/2-way decent place to eat. They have a great shrimp-Caesar salad. You don't feel heavy after eating it, so no need to wait for digestion to occur before riding the next coaster.
If you do feel the need for a little grease, they also have chicken strips.
At PKD I almost ALWAYS get the BBQ Combo (with fried chicken) at Country kitchen. Its about 9 or 10 bucks, but I find it is indeed the greatest amount of food for your money in the park. I find the quality to be consistant, and while the food isn't ALWAYS HOT it is ALWAYS Fresh and at least Quite Warm.

Stan Mikita's...I eat there every time I go to PKD. Inexpensive and tasty! The big plus is that it is right next to Hypersonic's launching pad so you have entertainment too.

Woohoo, woohoo!
I went to PKD for the first time this last weekend, and I (and about eleven other people who were with me) found the fries to be quite good. I was not impressed with the shrimp at Bubba Gump's -- it tasted like frozen shrimp to me, but I may have gotten a bad batch.
But the fries were definitely worth the money, both at Bubba Gump's (great theming) and at Stan Makita's. Don't go to Stan Makita's if you want to talk to someone, though. The launches on Hypersonic every minute or so are extremely loud.
oh I get it..... an oxymoron.
