No surprise to anyone, the coroner has determined that a ruptured aneurysm that killed a woman riding Goliath at Magic Mountain was pre-existing, though the ride may have been a factor in causing the rupture. The park also released a doctor's statement that brain hemorrhages can occur even while a person is sleeping.
Read more from KCBS via Yahoo.
If it's a pre-exisiting condition, then the aneurysm could happen anywhere. The woman could have died while waiting in the station. Or while she was walking around the park. I can see it now...

I really wish they would stop putting that mess out there. Heck, if she had been riding Space Mountain, I'm sure she would've still rolled back into the station dead. And that's sad, it's sad that she didn't know to stay away from the coaster and that this all happened. But it's not the fault of the coaster or it's designers.

I feel bad for SFMM because they pour money into these gigantic rides and then something happens and people call the rides unsafe. Then noone goes on them. Everything that has happened at SFMM was a total Freak accident. I think that SFMM is very unlucky.
When I went to Magic Mountian during christmas break last year 2000. I rode Goliath and during the final helix my eyes were open but it almost felt like I was going to black out even with my eyes open which was a weird feeling I have never felt before. Has anyone else experinced the samething?
61 degrees is near vertical. What a drop, boy I bet they are going to be calling X's drop more than vertical if 61 is near vertical.
I almost blackout and every looping coaster I ride, especially Arrow's vertical loops.. I cant even imagine riding Goliath

...But as the flight surgeon who was asked about that incident on a recent radio program noted, one would expect high +G forces on a ride like Goliath to pull blood AWAY from the brain, which would NOT tend to burst an aneurysm. So while something about Goliath may have been a factor in the case, it seems to me that it probably wasn't the high-G forces on the ride, unless recovery from the high-G moments results in dramatically increased blood pressure. Increased blood pressure is probably the culprit here, and that may well have happened on the lift hill.

Two people died at Cedar Point of brain aneurysms on the Wild Cat so I don't think you can factor in height or speed as important aspects of the accident.
Yeah you can grey out on the ride. I've only rode Titan(7 times) and most of my rides I've greyed out at least a little. It depends on how hot and exhausted you already are. I've been on it once at night and I didn't feel anything. I love this ride, and I can't imagine liking hyper out and back's as much, because the intensity on Titan is great.
My cousin blacked out on the part right after the big drop on Goliath and yes, during the helix you do feel like you're blacking out, but that's what makes this ride so cool. I've ridden it ever since it has opened last year in february, i'm alright. I actually feel it starting to get a little too mellow for me.

Maybe the helix had to due something with it.

Well, even if it did, thousands, maybe millions, of people probably agree with me that Goliath (not Golitath) is an extreme and just awesome ride. If you can't stand the heat...uh...something about a frying pan and tree, or something.

Maybe thats why Six Flags Magic Mountian got the nick name the "Extreme Park."
they got that name cause they got 4 rides,, goliath, X, DeJaVu, and Thrill Shot, not cause some1 died or because goliath has a triple helix. but the tripple helix is great!!!!
