173 feet tall, 171 feet drop, +-4000 feet of track, 68 mph.
As for the layout, its a custom one. A total out and back with 10! hills and no helix, unfortunately.
For the name, SF didn't have much choice. The name had to be good in both french and english and in french, Goliath means the same thing.
I'm a little underwhelmed.
There, I said it. >_<
Ok, now that the negativity is out of the way let's talk positives. It's a custom design and it's a beamer. I LOVED Nitro when I rode it this summer and I love the way Beamer Hyper's look. Judging by the layout, I'm not sure how forceful it'll be. But here's hoping it's half as good as Nitro.
I honestly would have gone with a French name. The Anglos sure as hell don't care what it's called and giving it a name like "Le Patriote" would be fine with me.
But saying this is going to suck from one pic, thats what is silly :).

Does anyone know how Goliath at SF Holland rides? Even though it's only 153 feet, I've heard somewhat good reviews.
On a side note, "Le Goliath, eh?" is the single greatest name for a coaster EVER. If La Ronde ever went that route, I'd give them my first born son. ;) *** Edited 10/26/2005 4:49:46 PM UTC by Talon***
