Flying Turns best new ride?

Helix not on list?

Thoughts?

Sucks!

Yeah, I'm definitely not getting how Flying Turns could win anything other than an award for the longest construction period.

I mean, I've not been on it, but from what those of you who have have stated, it doesn't sound like it's overly spectacular.

That is surprising, I really thought Banshee would get it

This is where I make my usual statement about the conflict of interest of selling ads to the winners and the inappropriate relationship that implies, how the sample is small and subject to obvious selection bias, etc.

Sucks.

I'm surprised Cedar Point was unthroned this year. Sixteen years late, but better late than never I guess...

WHAT? No Great Adventure on the list anywhere? I'm SHOCKED! (Just kidding.)

At least Banshee made number two. The only thing this list is good for really is for the park to be able to brag to their customers, which makes for good public opinion.

**Obligatory tongue-in-cheek, yet not really all that funny Dragon Wagon comment.**

I'm shocked and surprised, too.
Who knew that Knoebels' advertising budget was bigger than Cedar Fair's?

BLASPHEMY! SHENANIGANS! Cedar Point NOT #1? Banshee NOT #1? Payment must not be shelling out enough advertising dollars to Amusement Today magazine...

But then again, what do I know?

I'm a little surprised that they lost it this year. It seems to me that they are finally making a lot of the improvements that a lot of us have been discussing for years and years.

Not to rag on Cedar Point, but Europa is actually pretty fantastic. I can totally understand how it won.

There, I fixed that for ya.

It looks like they're putting their advertising dollars elsewhere.

The Golden Tickets are bought and paid for. Nothing shocks me about them.

A poll in USA Today that asks opinions of the unbiased, though...

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

The Golden Tickets use a ballot system, but is that only for the coaster rankings?

I agree! Europa pretty much knocks the socks off anything not rodent affiliated.

Is there anything they do that particularly stands out?

One thing no-one mentioned is that Flying Turns opened on October 5, 2013. So what is it doing on a list of best new attractions for 2014???
