Golden Horse removed from IAAPA

The Chinese ride company, Golden Horse, had their booth removed from the IAAPA show room floor due to an intellectual property lawsuit from Zamperla.

This should have happened long ago.

It's worth noting that their version of the Maurer Sohne spinning mouse has a lap bar, a seat belt, and a chain attached to the lap bar (which doesn't come close to locking properly).

Their rides are an accident waiting to happen.


In another corner of IAAPA, Beijing Jiuhua Amusement Rides quietly packed their things and ran out of the building.

Not sure exactly how these judgements against infringement can be enforced...but the amounts awarded were pretty significant.
