No way, tallest and fastest in northern California? Now that's really saying something. What an enormous accomplishment! I know northern California has a ton of pretty tall and fast wooden roller coasters all over the place. To build the tallest and fastest one is no easy task, by any means! I'm sure, of course, that they're excluding Grizzly which according to several sources goes faster than what Gold Striker's speed is listed as, but they can add some breaks to the bottom of Grizzly's drop. But why shouldn't they exclude Grizzly? It's at the southern end of the park, maybe the border of "northern california" runs just north of it. Yeah, that must be it. After all, they're building the freakin' tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in northern California! That's big news!
(In all seriousness, I think this is a pretty cool ride. Good amount of twistiness. God knows CGA needed something.)
