going to parks alone?

Sorry kids, but I didn't do Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers. There was no need for it. All I did was work my butt off at work (I'm a live sound engineer who pushes and lifts a lot of heavy equipment), and I started getting more aerobic excercise while at the parks. I just simply converted my excess fat to muscle.

B&M vs. Intamin? CCI vs. GCI? Who cares! They're all fun!
I've thought about going to a park alone a few times, but I have to travel a few hours to get to a park. Guess I don't have as much fun alone. Plus as SLFAKE said, I feel kinda funny walking around by myself. Though when I do go w/ others, once I'm at the park and don't get to ride everything I want, I wonder if I'd rather be alone. :)

I've often thought it might be fun to go alone and hang out w/ a Buzz'r (or several).

I have no problem going by myself. Heck, last summer I drove from Portland, OR to Columbus, OH by myself. Hit coasters in many parks and had an absolute blast. Already this year I've gone up to CP by myself. My friends think it's weird, but they are generally great days. I just power ride all day, with no unecessary stops. But I do have a few friends that love it as much as me and they are generally fun companions. My wife is pretty good about it, but she hates spin and pukes and most woodies that she's ridden.
I've gone to many parks solo, most of them over the last two years. I found out that I dont like it. I mean, the rides are great, but that's not really what I like most about the amusement parks. I'm much more into the 'camradire' (sp). I havent made one solo trip this year. Okay I went to SRM by myself, but there were intense plans to meet up with other folks so, IMO, that dont count. It's fine for some, and I wont rule it out for myself in the future, but right now, I dont see it happening.

And I-Fan, what fat? You've never weighed a pound over 150 wearing a dripping wet fur coat! You are an insult to all the REAL fat people of the enthusiast world.

I, personally, cant do it. I tried it once when I went to Sea World in Orlando on business. At first it was kewl, lookin at a new park Ive never experienced before. But as I got off Kraken, I just felt something was missing. Seeing people get off the rides and talkin about it, is part of the experience.Well, at least for me. So I know, I dont see myself flying solo again...

Dayuum, Your HOT!

I like to go alone sometimes. I think it's fun to relax and take in all of the atmosphere. I consider it to be "me time". besides, all of my friends and co-workers dis-like parks and coasters and would probibly like to spend thier money on something else anyway. I really can't wait until my nephew is a few years older. I will only take him sometimes though because, as I said before, I like to go alone.
