Going to Niagra Falls, any good parks around ?

My family has decided that they want to visit Niagra Falls on Labor day week ,and I know that Marine world or some park with a coaster called Dragon mountain is near by, but I figured maybe on my way down from Newyork, I can get to Sixflags DarineLake, and maybe even Canadas Wonderland I checked www.RCDB.com ,and it shows Canadas wonderland within 60miles from the Marine world park, so my qestion are these parks close or far away, well worth traveling to? Any tips one may have on this area would greatly help me.
Martin's Fantasy Island is in Buffalo. It is a little expensive but it is a nice little family park with a great CCI.

Top Parks (That I Have Been To) 1. Cedar Point 2. Six Flags Magic Mountain 3. Kennywood 4. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 5. Nagashima Spaland

If you're looking for a wider variety of things to do and ride, then Paramount Canada's Wonderland is the park for you and your family.

Meanwhile, Six Flags Darien Lake is a nice diversion if you can only go for a few hours. It's not a big park but has a decent collection of rides.

Seabreeze Park is not that far from Niagra Falls in Rochester. It has a 1920 John Miller out and backer, a one of a kind wild mouse type coaster, a steel looper and a junior steel coaster. They also have some older flat rides like a Flying Scooter and a Cuddle Up, few new flat rides, a great carousel and it is not to hard to get to. Overall its a great classic park worth going to.

Martin's Fantasy Island is actually very affordable and cheap. The parking is free, and admission is around $14.95 for adults. It's also not located in Buffalo, but much closer to Niagara Falls right over the first major bridge when you get to the USA called Grand Island. Problem is that it's more of a family park with mostly chance rides (some are thrilling, however) and 1 CCI Wooden coaster.

Darien Lake is about 45 minutes away if you take the thruway all the way there, possibly a little more if you drive the speed limit.

Canada's Wonderland, a much much larger park... is only a little more than an hour away from Niagara Falls, Ontario. It would be very much worth the effort to visit that park instead, if only because of their diversity in rides & attractions as well as sheer size. (125 acres vs. 300+)

Marineland is right in the heart of Niagara Falls, but if you're looking for thrills... that park is not for you. Dragon Mountain is their only rollercoaster (not counting a real kiddie coaster). They are still in the process of expanding and construction is going on at the park to transform it into the largest marine park in North America with their $160 million expansion, so you may not be able to spend the whole day there since attractions are limited.

Oh... and you got Seabreeze... but who cares? It's a park in Rochester, NY that doesn't stand out at all, but I guess it's an ok park but not worth the travel time.

I live about 20 minutes from Canadas Wonderland, and Marineland Theme Park is roughly 2hrs to 2hrs and 30 min depending on traffic. Marineland (www.marinelandcanada.com) is a little more obscure to find as it is not located by a major highway, but the parking is free. The park is defintely worth a trip if your within the area just for Dragon Mountain, but don't plan on making a day out of the park. It's extremely huge in size, but with very few rides (15 or 10 in total), and mostly marine animals shows and displays. Canada's Wonderland on the otherhand has 12 rollercoasters, and the Mondial triple threat. (splash over, top scan, giant swing). It also has a waterpark that's free with admission. The kids section is pretty big too with 3 roller-coasters, and some rides including the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion. However, I would strongly suggest to not go on weekends. Weekends are the worst for this park. If you decide to go, showing up at the front gates right before the park opens is not a bad idea. Also by starting at the back of the park (by Minebuster and Skyrider) you will avoid the crowds as they will more than likely start at the bottom and work around.
Oh yeah seabreeze who cares?!! (sarcasm)
Marine world is a nice place to stop by doesn't have that many coaster just a huge steel looping one.
SFDL a good park a woodie and a hyper and a few other steelies.
Martins Fantasy island is a nice family park a excellent CCI!!
Seabreeze another good family park 3rd oldest wooden coaster a very short steel looper and the bobsleds possibly the best wild mouse i've been on.

Anyone know how far Paramounts Candas wonderland is from the falls?,and there is no babbys in my family,im the youngest, and we are looking for more exciting rides.

Go to www.mapquest.com and check, it will give you a good idea.......

MFI is worth it for the Silver Comet alone, it may be a smaller CCI, but it packs a punch... I'd say if you've never been on a CCI GO THERE! It is soooo worth it.
