Going to new york state

I am going next week. Are there any parks that I should visit???. And I can only go to one.

It's a really big state.

I suggest either Six Flags Darien Lake, Great Escape, or Astroland... What area of the state will you be in and that will narrow down your choices.

Mid state.....hmm I guess that could include Albany/Utica/Rochester/Syracuse. I would hit SFNE / Great Escape / Darien Lake

Don't forget about Martin's Fantasy Island in Buffalo, and also Seabreeze in Rochester for smaller less aggravating experiences. It all depends on what your into though. Good luck and have fun!!

Darien Lake is quite a drive from Albany, isn't it?

If you found yourself in Albany, I'd visit either SFNE or The Great Escape, obviously. They're both within comfortable driving distance.

If you're further downstate, near the NY/PA border, a trip to Knoebel's may be in order. Just don't take US-15 down into Williamsport, whatever you do. That road is a nightmare of nightmares -- at least, unless you enjoy the view of a tractor's rear-end.

Further downstate is Rye Playland and Lake Compounce in Connecticut.

They've picke a great park if they wanna go there. Some of the best foods and rides. The phantom's revenge is a awesome hyper coaster, The extermiantor is an insane spinning wild mouse, and Thunderbolt is the best fun u can have on a wooden coaster!

If you haven't been on a drop ride, then the pitt fall is a must!

Kennywood is amazing. Great atmosphere, great great rides, great great great people. On the other hand, it's nowhere near the middle of NY.
