Going to Atlantis, any musts?

this isn't coaster related, but I am going to the Atlantis in the Bahamas from 17-22, just wanted to know if there is anything I must do.
Crazy,

I'm gonna be there tomorrow until the 21st (next Saturday I believe). I've never been there before, but I've been doing a little research. The water slides look really fun (especially the one that goes under the shark tank).

I've heard the place is mega-expensive though, so make sure you bring a good chunk of money.

I'm supposed to leave tonight to fly to Florida then tomorrow go to Nassau. Hopefully I'll be able to make it with Charlie hitting NJ about the same exact time my flight is at.

Have fun!

Atlantis is insanely awesome. Drinks are expensive and the casino is not lucky. But have fun man, it's the Bahamas.

There's 2 that goes through the shark tank.:)

The water slides, the pools, the aquarium....and Chihuly chandeliers. We were there with an onboard cruise (i.e., not staying at the hotel), but that place IS awesome. Hate to see the bill for their hurricane insurance!

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Really, I always find it boring when I'm there...but that's because I live on the beach so it's not that exciting. The best slide is easily the Serpent which slowly goes through the shark tank. Stay at the mayan temple slides (royal towers) and don't go over to the becah towers slides because they are without a doubt the worst slides I've ever been on. Eat at the Bahamian Club and Five Twins. The Buffets come across as gourmet, but I saw them pouring campbell's Tomato Soup into the pasta sauce. Which tower are you staying in. If you're not in the Royal Towers or Imperial Club, it's a really long walk to the slides. Oh, one other thing, the Nassau airport is hell....

Just got back from Atlantis. It's a nice place, and very expensive. If your not staying in the Royal Towers, it's a hell walk through all the aquariums and sidewalks to get to the Myan Temple slides. The slides are nice, although get boring after a while. The best is the leap of faith, straight down into the shark tank, although you can't see any sharks cause your going very fast lol.

The Nassau Airport is complete hell like Stitch said. Very unorganized and disgusting. When your coming home, LEAVE VERY EARLY FOR YOUR FLIGHT. ARIVE 2 HOURS BEFORE. Going through customs on the way home and waiting to get your flight info is a major pain, considering they make you go through the medal detectors practically 3 times.

The beach is nice, although there's jetskiis and parasails everywhere so it's hard to enjoy the ocean. You can go to the cove beach, but it's not very big.

And one more thing, it's an absolutely beautiful place, it's just very built up.

I hope that helps you out a little bit, just remember on your way home to get to that airport early. And when you come home, you'll be thanking me.

Thanks for the responses guys.
Although I've never stayed at atlantis ive had friends who had and we took a day trip there every year since it was built. Atlantis is a lot more crowded and loud of a beach then Cable beach which we stay. There is some great resturants on Nassau and Paradise island you just have to find them. Also i dont know if you scuba dive but there is some good diving there. I always love to just sit back on the beach. Have fun

Since ive been going ive seen the best and worst of the airport, all depends on your luck. this last time we got there 2 hours early and people at customs kept cutting us because their flight was about to leave. Took us 1 hour in that tiny ass room. Their food there is terrible, they have a menu on the wall and dont have any of it. One thing i hate about the bahamas is the airport.

I've been there before and yes, it's very expensive. From what I recall, the breakfast buffet was $60 a person.

But yeah, have fun and enjoy it. Beautiful place.
