Executives for GM and Disney have continued to negotiate a possible contract extension to keep the beleaguered Detroit auto giant as sponsor of Epcot's Test Track. But so far nothing has been announced. A person familiar with the contract, who said he had been briefed on the talks, said GM and Disney were poised to sign a six-month contract extension just days before the carmaker's June 1 bankruptcy filing. The deal would have allowed GM to forgo paying Disney a sponsorship fee but would have required it to continue paying for the post-ride showroom.

My kids, at 10 and 8, love Epcot too. It's usually the park we spend the most time in on any given trip. On our last trip, the kids turned down extra time in Studios (with the new Toy Story ride) for more time in Epcot for the Kim Possible missions---which we all loved.
Then again, we were big KP fans back in the day, including owning a copy of the KP soundtrack (Rappin Drakken!)
I"ll admit that when I first went to Epcot (back when I was in college, oh those many years ago...) I didn't "get" it.
When I returned to Disney a few years ago, Epcot was my favorite of the parks, by a significant margin. What it might lack in thrills it more than makes up for in other ways.
As for Test Track, I think GM would be foolish to let that sponsorship go, but surely SOME other company would see the value in it.
