I like the idea of turing the aquarium into a deck type eatery, maybe with the mixed drinks like you used to be able to get at the bathhouse back in the 90's.
Oh, well, I suppose they will put the land to better use.
Johnny Rockets would be a great fit, and that park is large enough to handle 2 locations, with a third in their hotel. (Big Bill, are you listening?). CP Coasters concept is substandard park food. They may be proud of themselves, but others in the industry will not agree. *** Edited 12/17/2004 2:21:35 AM UTC by Agent Johnson***
The best bet to eat at CP is in their hotels, mainly the Fridays, or in the Marina's operations. I have heard good things from the Breakwater Cafe, which will probably be the name of a new place at Geauga (sorry for the news leak there), and people seem to like the buffet next to Raptor.
They had a great BBQ under the Giant Wheel, before MF was built. Their fast food is less than stellar, and they will admit that their food is no match against Busch's. Kennywood's, Morey's Piers, Knoebels, or Universal's. Its better than Six Flags, and about the level of Hersheyparks. Period.
Their strenght to foodservice is in sit down operations. They are volume/food cost driven. But, unlike Six Flags, they staff all their locations and reap the rewards. They offer plenty of positions for minors, their stands are clean, and they are not that expensive. The food is just marginal. People go to CP for rides, and maybe they wait for fresh cut fries or Dippin Dots. If they change their hot dog brand, its un-noticed.
The secret there is to use the chicken fajitas meat in with the pasta sauce for something really special. :)
