Give Blood, Get In PKD Free

From the latest PKD newsletter:

"Help save lives and earn free admission to the park on Sunday, March 28th, from 9:30am until 3:30pm. Each person who donates a pint of blood will get into the park for free on March 28th or receive a ticket to return on an open public operating day in 2004! Season pass holders who donate will receive a 2004 complementary ticket. Anyone who is 17 years old, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is healthy, may give blood."

I'm really wondering if it is wise to give blood then get on a coaster? Depends on the person, I'm sure. But anyway, this is a good thing that PKD is doing. They have more info at their website......in case anyone is interested. :)

I believe they offered this last year as well, if I remember correctly. I probably won't be going on the 28th, but I will be spending my bachelor 'party' there in early to mid-April.

A pint less blood might lower your blood pressure for a while and reduce the chance of bursting a blood vessel (aneurism). ;)

Does it count if SOB draws the blood?

Er... I mean Shockwave. That's the ticket. *** Edited 3/18/2004 8:22:31 PM UTC by Olsor***

Wrong park.
do you have to give blood there or can you get in with a blood donors card? If the card works, I'm going to PKD for free!
You have to give blood that day, you get one free ticket you can use on that day or another day.

Thats really not a good idea but I guess if you lived next door to the park it wouldn't be a big deal. They should make you use the ticket on a different day so no one passes out on a coaster.
