Gillian's City Jet looking for Dorothy

RCDB has Gillian's City Jet going to a new FEC/amusement park in Wichita, KS. The place is All Star Sport Entertainment. May open this year?!?!

Sad that it's not going someplace that I'd get to, but at least it's staying in the US instead of being scrapped or going overseas.

Sad to see it go but glad to see its staying in the U.S. We've lost too many Schwarzkopfs during the past decade.

Of City Jets and Jumbo Jets...

My first "BIG" Coaster (i.e. non kiddie coaster) was Glissade at Busch Gardens - The Olde Country (as it was called back then). I was around 11 or 12 yrs old. My mom couldn't watch me ride it and had to turn her back... she was sure I was going to be killed. She was horrified when I got off and got right back on.

Loved the one on the Pier at Ocean City MD as well.

I rode the City Jet at Gillians this past summer. Smaller than the Jumbo Jets, but still packed some great forces in the helix. Love those "bobsled" trains.

You all are right... too many of these models are disappearing.

I remember the City Jet being considerably smaller than Jumbo Jets as well as Jet Stars. You're right, it still did pack quite a punch. Too bad the park decided to replace the coaster rather than build an additional coaster, although I'm not sure where they'd find the room to do that without getting rid of something else.
