GhostRider is underrated

I just got done with a ride on GhostRider, and let me say that if you haven't ridden it in a long time, you need to get back to Knott's to reevaluate your rating. Currently, GhostRider is in danger of dropping off of the Top 100 list, but that would be a shame. In my opinion, it is extremely underrated.

Phenomenal ride! Especially after the GCI retrack and MF trains...

It's easily a top 3 wood for me.

It’s darn fun, especially during Haunt in the dark with the fog all over. Always a highlight of a visit to Knotts.

Incredible ride, it just keeps going.

I didn't ride it at its worst, maybe a lot of people who rated it did ..

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Ugh. I had to check several hundred structural drawings for that re-profiling project. Very tedious.

However, I’m glad to hear the efforts paid off, and still are paying off ~6 years later.

It's definitely been a tale of two (three?) rides.

This got me feeling all nostalgic so I went back and watched a POV from just after the reprofile, and I remembered that part of the project included removing the MCBR, which people were excited about. But I watched another video from 2019 and saw that it was back in. Can any recent riders confirm whether or not the brake was active?

If I recall correctly it's back to help them dispatch trains faster but the operations are so dreadful that it doesn't help at all.

I can confirm that the MCBR is there, but not used. You just POWER through. 😁

Ghostrider is hands down my favorite coaster at Knott’s. 👏🏻

Can confirm... As of earlier this year the MCBR did not touch the train at all.

But as mentioned above, the operations are so horrible... Which is unfortunate on the most popular attraction at the park. But honestly, the operations at Knott's all together are even a step down from Six Flags on both my visits, which isn't great. Magic Mountain in comparison was significantly better...

Reports are correct. MCBR was not used.

Rode it Sunday night (12/11). Operations sucked as usual, but MCBR was sleeping.

Coater ran great, even in the cool/cold evening. The work that GCI did on this ride is simply amazing, even after several years.

Curious if the MCBR is allowing 3-train operations on busy days?

What seems to be the biggest issue with park operations at Knott’s, employee slowness or cumbersome operating policies now due to iROC?
