Alaska Presley is the only person who bid on the property at auction, offered $2.5 million for the property and its equipment. Competing buyers can file an upset bid for 10 days. Presley is now counting down the days until Feb. 20 to see if anyone places a counterbid. Presley, 88, hopes to leave a functioning and profitable Ghost Town as her legacy to Maggie Valley.

A park in a place with a person's name is now owned by a person named after a place.
I'm not sure that I consider zip lines high tech...but I hope it works out for her and that community. It just seems like such an uphill (pun intended) battle. If parks cannot make it in Houston, New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, etc...Maggie Valley would sure be an upset success story.
Ziplines are a dime a dozen in the Smokies.
Parks can make it in those three locations. Unless your company is poorly run, ready for bankruptcy,or your park gets hit bu a hurricane and destroyed.

Such as Astroworld, Hard Rock & Jazzland (SFNO AKA SFUW (Under water)). LOL

Speaking of Myrtle Beach...Kenny Powers was back last night! There was some decent park footage with him and the X more drunk than a guy punching a security guard at DCA. :)
