Ghost Town In The Sky to be auctioned off in foreclosure

Ghost Town in the Sky is scheduled to be auctioned off October 25th due to foreclosure. Court documents show the owners have not made good on payments of two loans equaling around ten million dollars.

Never good to hear about a park havign a hard time. I always wanted to visit this park but could never get my family to go. now that I'm older it may never happen.

Both times I drove past that park it was closed. Shame.

I am surprised a waterpark hasn't been built in that area. The tourism industry in Asheville is very strong and most people are more than just single day visitors. While I don't think a full fledged amusement park is the answer, definitely a water park-mountain slide-"Shamu's Happy Harbor style" play area could easily be successful to build on multi-day tourist growth.

That's a shame. I've always wanted to go here, it's such a unique park. Never go around to it.
