The operators of Maggie Valley's Ghost Town in the Sky say it's time to change the old amusement park's identity in order to continue running. Owner Alaska Presley and her manager say they can't compete with places like Dollywood. So they're re-branding the park as an Appalachian village.

I believe Ms. Presley's heart is in the right place....that being said, her "expertise" in amusements leads me to believe she could do damage to even Conneaut's chances of survival....

If I had the talent to do drag, Alaska Presley might replace my current favorite drag queen name: Shar Cootery.

Yeah, I'm not sure treating an amusement park, er, Appalachian village, like one of those antique malls (where a bunch of people rent a small space in a building) is a recipe for success.

So what's going to happen to the coasters? No mention of that in the article. (I didn't watch the video)

It was posted somewhere that they're turning the looping coaster into a ropes/zipline course.
