I was reading on rcdb..

That a group was interested on reopening the park. Has anyone heard any new news about the park reopening? The last bit of news is from 2004.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I haven't heard anything lately. It always seems that someone is interested but can't quite get to the point where they made something happen. Too bad, I heard that chair lift was something special...
The chairlift is something special. It's amazingly scenic, and very tranquil. It takes about 15 minutes I think to get to the top of the mountain.

About 3/4th of the way up there is someone sitting in a small wooden shack just under the cables who yells at you to smile. Then he snaps your picture. Then he yells a number back to you. You take down or try to remember this number and give it to the photo attendant at the front of the park upon leaving.

If you forget your number, no problem all they have to do is look at you and they can determine which 5x7 color glossy is yours.

I really miss this park. It was so unique, and thrilling. I so look forward to its return !!!

I believe that part of the problem with Ghost Town is the competition from Dollywood ever since it got bigger. Even so, North Carolina needs more parks. PCar is the only "real" park in the state (well, half of it is). By the way, people in the Triangle and Triad don't have a home park to go to in their local area.

I still deeply regret the day I drove right by the park, and didn't stop.

Granted, I was on the way to a friend's wedding and COULDN'T stop, but that's not the point... ;)
