Fortunately they got it working again before everyone had to be removed.
It's a little surprising the lift was running in a lightning storm.
Having been stuck on ski lifts before, getting stuck on one in summer, though a bit unnerving, really wouldn't bother me. I'll take 70-80 degrees and lightening over -10 to -20 windchills any day of the week.

The Chairlift that is at Lesourdville lake has a gas motor that can run the chairs up in the roof of the station. At Screechfest they had a power outage and many ACER's were on it. It took them awhile. I think they had to run and get some either or gas but they got em off in about 45 minutes.
