No, I did not see B&M supports heading towards the park, I saw a car of the OLD TRAIN strapped to a big rig! It was amazing! It really was looking old and needed a little bit of a paint job, I just hope it isn't heading to the dump :( It was still great to see a lost treasure of the park.

I want a car for the seats of my home theatre !!! :)
I actually want the RR back, you got to see all the neat rides up close and stuff. If you're going to take it out, you might as well put a new roller coaster in. *cough* TA2K *cough*
Whoops. I thought you meant a roller coaster train. I misread. Well, anyway - I want a coaster car !
I don't know if PGA's train was steam, but it wouldn't suprise me if they DID remove it. They have all but completely destroyed everything Marriott strived so hard to build. I am suprised Kings Island still has theirs. And I am a train fanatic (having run locomotives similar to these). What a shame it would be to lose another family ride, not to mention a slowly dying mode of in-park transportation.

Dude, I dont care about PGA's old train, I only care about if PGA will actually thrill us with a coaster someday.
Psycho Mouse isn't thrilling?
Psycho Mouse is more of a beginner ride. It's fun of course, but not very intense. We need a new woodie!
Definetly, we need a new woodie. The Grizzly is so old and needs to go. Son of Beast clone? Sure! I rather have a woodie though that has a layout never seen before. PGA needs a woodie with giant drops, lots of airtime, little roughness, high smoothness, tunnels, and smoke. How about smoke in a woodie? Like take the idea of the tunnel/smoke idea from Goliath and put it into a new PGA woodie. PGA, please listen to us!

That's right. If you're going to take it out, put a new ride in. Just don't take the RR away without adding a new ride in it's place.
Yes PGA needs a woodie, but the park lost HALF A MILLION in attendance scence SFMW came to play, every time they got a B&M, Top Gun, Vortex, they have been hugr hits with the crowds and I think for PGA's sake they really need a TA2K or B&M multi-element.
P.S. Ruffryder56, don't take up bandwidth just posting what you did! A topic about the old Marriot parks trains was posted here and I though people would enjoy it. :)

i think they should maybe build another transportation ride that shows all off the coasters and rides. I wonder why they got rid of the railroad though. I mean, they didn't tear the track down, it's just that they stopped running it right?
The railroads at both Great America parks were furnished with rolling stock built the Johnson Machine Works of Johnson City,TN. They were steam outline with diesel-hydraulic power unit in the tenders. They even had syncronised steam sound effects.
If run properly a park railroad can be a very high capacity ride. I remember the CP&LE in the 70's could turn over 400 people every ten minutes on a busy day.
A railroad is a high capacity ride making the lines for more popular rides shorter. I don't understand why PGA would take out the railroad for no apparent reason.
They took it out in order to open up new ares. Its hard to get to a place when there are train tracks in the way. If you go to PGAs webstie go to the map section. You can dowload the new map, youll notice wild wouse and the thunder race way are where the old train tracsk were. now also look at all the empty space on the map and the places that possible new attractions could go. It may seem dumb to take the train out now, but when you see a bunch of new stuff go in youll soon forget it was ever there.
