If the illusion fails I only see one good thing out of this: a new idea for a PPP costume.

Unless your David Blaine. He hires people to appear on his shows to act surprised and shocked or whatever. I've seen ads in the back of Magic magazine. I myself, am a magician and don't do stunts or illusions. I am into close-up magic or what is called street magic. I think everyone knows it's fake. The fun is in believing it's real.
You would be amazed who hires "audience members" to play into the whole thing.
I went to a talk show AND an infomercial while in college (to observe for a communications class I was taking). Both had several audience members that were "hired" to act the way they told them to.
Both were a blast a very educational, plus we got free food (and a free juicer for attending the infomercial.....lol.)
The point is 99% of what you see on TV is fake, edited, etc. :-)

"Some audience members may have been remunerated for appearing on this program"
In plain English?
We paid certain people to be audience members.
