Gerstlaur?

I suscribe to Amusement Today, and they're saying that they're building this new ride called Tsunami. As of now, it will have the steepest drop (@ 85 degrees), single cars, and like 5 inversions. Has anybody heard anything else about this? Can anybody tell me some other Gerstlaur coasters because Tsunami is the only one I've heard of, and they haven't even told us where or when it's going in.

Magnum is Red,
Millenium Force is Blue.
I love Wicked Twister
And Raptor too.

http://www.rcdb.com/result.htm?coastername=&park=&type=&category=&contact=149&status=&state=&country=&column=1%2C10%2C3%2C4%2C5&order=1%2C2 lists the 3 they have built and 3 they are building for 2003. And, it's a 95 degree drop, not 85. I bet if it ever gets built, Tsunami will be an insane ride.

Bergwerkbahn features SPINNING cars....anybody else feel they'd need thigh replacement surgery after riding a G-train that spins?

As for a 95-degree drop (it's not the heat it's the humidity *rimshot*)....I kinda think what S:UF pulled on the pretzel loop would be a fair comparison for intensity and forces....:)

Oh yea...I got a beating from The Boss last Saturday and I have yet to have a good ride on those G-trains at SFWoA.

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

Did anyone notice that their track looks kinda like Intamin flat track? Did they make Riddler's Revenge and all those Jumbo Jet coasters?

Correction: that looks like Schwarzkopf track. Intamin was influenced by Schwarzkopf, and it was Schwarzkopf that made the Jumbo Jets, your Jet Stars, etc.

It looks like Schwarzkopf track because the founders of Gerstlaur are accually old employees of Schwarzkopf. I forgot where I read that, but I'm certain it's true.
Somebody gave a rendering of what the ride looked like and it did look pretty darn cool and really compact, I don't remember what post it was in though.

Is it written in the stars?
La Vie Boheme!!!

Wow, so Anton Schwarzkopf is the big daddy here of most modern day coasters (John Allen being the granddaddy of the woodies). I should have thought of that before, because I knew that Intamin and Schwarzkopf used to be one (I did a report on Schwarzkopf a couple months ag0).

Chuck, I have relented on the G-train *bashing* for one reason....the point that you make about them is TOO valid...the lap bars stay put. That, to me, is THE saving grace of the G-trains, the seats are hard, the lapbars have NO padding, but they DO stay where you set them....is Tom Rebbie listening here?

I have ridden the future, and it's name is......X!

I don't know Gator... When I was on Villain, the leg room was so small, my lapbar had nowhere else to go!
